In July 2026, Ethical Staffing headed to Silverstone to support campsite management during the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. With a record 564,000 attendees across the event, the British Grand Prix operates on an enormous scale. Our team spent 10 days on site, providing experienced event staff across multiple campsites and supporting the operation behind the thousands of racegoers choosing to stay at Silverstone. For a new client and our first deployment at the British Grand Prix, it was an exciting opportunity to bring our experience in event staffing, festival staffing and campsite management into a major sporting environment.
Campsite Management at the British Grand Prix
The British Grand Prix is far more than a single race day. For thousands of visitors, camping at Silverstone forms a huge part of the weekend.
That creates an operation which begins well before the racing gets underway and continues after the final cars have left the track.
Across our 10 days on site, Ethical Staffing supported campsite operations across multiple locations, helping to create a positive experience for guests throughout their stay.
Our responsibility was to provide people who could confidently work within a busy live-event environment while responding to the changing requirements of the site.
Selecting Experience for Silverstone
For this project, we deliberately selected highly experienced event professionals.
Our team brought experience from across festivals, sporting events and other large-scale live environments. That diversity of experience was particularly valuable at Silverstone, where campsite operations combine elements of customer service, event management and the realities of working on a temporary event site.
With any first-time client, there is always an element of learning on the ground. No matter how much planning takes place beforehand, teams need to be agile enough to respond to operational changes, adapt to the needs of the site and use their initiative when required.
That’s where experience really matters.
We were incredibly proud to see our team use their existing knowledge and initiative to respond to changes on site and help bring the campsite operation to life. They quickly became part of the wider operation, approaching new challenges with confidence while continuing to deliver a positive experience for guests.
