Client and event overview
Free trainers at a festival? Unsurprisingly, people were interested. Our brand ambassadors headed to FORWARDS Festival on Bristol's Clifton Downs, representing Schuh and Vans with an interactive activation designed to get festival-goers playing with trainers up for grabs.
Getting Festival-Goers Involved
FORWARDS isn't your typical city festival. Alongside its music programme, the two-day event has been designed around bringing people together and creating positive change, with discussion and debate sitting alongside the live performances.
Within that busy environment, our promotional team had one job: get people involved.
Representing Schuh and Vans, our team welcomed festival-goers to the activation, explained the games and created a buzz around the chance to walk away with a new pair of trainers.
Not a bad festival freebie.
Brand Ambassadors Who Understand Festivals
When brands activate at festivals, they're competing with stages, bars, food, friends and everything else happening around them.
That's why having brand ambassadors who fundamentally understand festivals makes a difference.
Our experienced festival staff know how to approach people naturally, read the energy around them and make an activation feel like part of the festival rather than an interruption to it.
For Schuh and Vans, that meant creating interactions that were playful, approachable and suited to the environment.
Because great experiential marketing shouldn't just put a logo in front of someone.
It should give them a reason to stop.
