Client and event overview

There aren’t many workplaces quite like Glastonbury Festival. Across the festival, an enormous operation takes place behind the scenes to keep one of the world’s most iconic live events moving — and we’re incredibly proud that our team played a part in it. Ethical Staffing supported Internal Traffic Management across the Glastonbury site, helping crew, contractors, suppliers and staff navigate an environment operating on a truly extraordinary scale.

Keeping Glastonbury Moving

While hundreds of thousands of festival-goers make their way between stages, campsites and entertainment areas, essential vehicle movements continue behind the scenes.

Our team helped manage those movements, supporting people travelling around the site and helping keep busy internal routes operating effectively.

It meant working around the clock, constantly strategising and adapting as situations changed.

Clear communication was essential, but so was initiative. Our staff needed to understand the wider operation, respond confidently to what was happening around them and work closely with the numerous teams responsible for bringing Glastonbury to life.

Event Staff From All Walks of Life

One of our favourite things about the deployment was the team itself.

Our Glastonbury staff ranged from 18 to 64 years old, joining us from across the UK and beyond.

It’s something we’re particularly proud of. Great event staff don’t fit one mould. Different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives can be a huge strength when building teams capable of working within complex live environments.

Across the festival, our staff brought professionalism, adaptability and positivity to site every day.

The Outcome

Need people to keep a festival site moving, not just the gates? Let's talk.

Glastonbury’s internal routes are an operation of their own. If your site needs staff who can keep pedestrians, vehicles and queues from tangling, tell us the layout.
