Client and event overview
There are some festivals on our calendar that feel particularly close to home, and Shambala Festival is definitely one of them. We’ve been working with Shambala for years through our sister company, My Cause UK, with volunteers becoming a familiar presence across the festival gates. So, when the opportunity came for Ethical Staffing to take on Box Office Management at Shambala in 2026, it felt like a really exciting next step in a partnership we already value enormously.
Years of Shambala
Shambala has grown a fiercely loyal community while deliberately keeping things intimate. Around 14,000–15,000 adults, plus children, attend each year — a very different scale to some of the enormous festivals our teams work across.
And that’s part of its charm.
There’s also a lot about Shambala’s ethos that resonates with us.
Its commitment to community, sustainability and doing things differently feels incredibly aligned with both Ethical Staffing and My Cause UK. From its pioneering environmental work to becoming employee-owned in 2026, Shambala has consistently shown that festivals can be run with purpose.
It makes working together feel like a particularly natural fit.
A New Chapter: The Box Office
This year, we got to experience Shambala from a slightly different perspective.
Our Ethical Staffing team managed the festival Box Office, working with Humanitix and alongside FGH Security and the wider Shambala team to keep arrivals moving.
From ticketing queries and troubleshooting to helping festival-goers get through the gates and into the fields, it was a proper team effort.
Anyone who has worked a festival Box Office knows that no two queries are quite the same. It takes patience, problem-solving and people who genuinely enjoy helping.
Thankfully, that’s very much our thing.
And after years of supporting the gates through My Cause UK, there was something particularly lovely about seeing our relationship with Shambala grow into another area of the festival.
A festival we know. An ethos we believe in. And a partnership we’re very proud to keep building.
